Jonnel Lewis ’23 is the 16th Roanoke College student to earn one of the prestigious scholarships offered by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

Alumnus John Snyder, who parlayed his Roanoke College biology degree into a successful career in health care, said he and his wife, Linda, wanted to honor his alma mater, thank President Emeritus Michael Maxey, and give students access to state-of-the-art facilities as they pursue science education.
